You already asked the exact same question here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmanagerdeployment/thread/a447fee2-25b2-45df-a0c2-d3a1478da557/#3f264b38-1bdb-4cd7-b478-049525170e59 and you did not answer my troubleshooting questions. Where should we reply? Please avoid double postings in the future. Thanks.

And what about smsdpprov.log?

I have a similar issue (described here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmanagergeneral/thread/94a85654-edcd-4e90-b474-25b788762ae3). I'm looking at logs - there is no smsdpprov.log on either of my CAS or my primary. Looking at the pkgxfermgr.log on the primary, I have this:

Does that shed any light on this issue? Also, is it a problem that I have no smsdpprov log anywhere?

Thanks,

Andrew

smsdpprov is only availble on remote DPs, not on site servers.

Ding Ding!

Me too....Same issue.

I thought I would just delete the package and recreate a new client package, but the SCCM client up grade package is missing from packages, although its still moaning about it not being on the remote DP...

That package is hidden in the console; have you already seen http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/configmanagermigration/thread/11df0f63-d146-434d-91f3-c4e826fee92

Same issue. Tried distributing using the powershell script, and the package is distributed successfully to my primary site, but fails with the pkgxfermgr.log error shown here and many other places.

Any way of updating, not refreshing, the package using Powershell??

Any other way of resolving this?

Ok, so it seems i solved it.

Found this post: http://www.vansurksum.com/configmgr-2012-what-to-do-when-the-configuration-manager-client-upgrade-package-is-deleted-somehow/

It explains how to create a new version of the client packages, should they have been deleted for some reason.

I took my chances and placed a custom file named 'client.acu' in my inboxes\hman.box folder on my primary site. Once this was done, my client & client update packages was updated (i saw this monitoring hman.log and pkgxfermgr.log), and now both my client and client upgrade packages have been successfully distributed to my primary and two distribution points. The packages were not recreated with a new package ID, but retained their ID's indicating that they were just updated and not re-created.

(Use at own risk, but worked for me :))
